Liminality

The moment when two worlds that usually never touch, collide!
The hour that connects two seasons, like All Hallow's Eve
Or twilight, the moment of impact between light and darkness.
It's the time when fairies roam abroad,
And the dead are released from their graves,
When wild uncertainty and supernatural forces warp reality,
Creating that emotional concoction of fear and excitement.
The moments suspended between sleeping and waking or waking and sleeping,
Filled with vivid dreams and adrenaline-triggering falls.
When you and I can lean out of our own doorways far enough to touch
And suddenly understand each other.
It's the moment when a joke translates from your language to mine
And is still funny.
This is how much we need liminality.
