language study oh my

we've been working on arabic...moroccan arabic, mind you, it's a very different dialect. we have tutors, a couple from casablanca, but oh boy, it's so complicated! our book tells us one thing, the previous reachers to morocco another, the cd yet another, and then man pronouces stuff differently than his wife! supposedly morrocan arabic dictionaries don't exist and so until we prove reality wrong by finding one on amazon, we swap ignorance and listen closely. it's terribly fun, but i'm not all that patient with my ignorance.

i talked to priska on the phone last night, and they said she was waving and smiling. of course she recognized my voice and misses her tia.
